SIALKOT: A young man in Sialkot allegedly died of suffocation due to gas leakage in a water heater installed in the bathroom on his wedding day.
According to family sources, Jasim (25), son of Fayyaz, a resident of Kotli Loharan district of Sialkot, was scheduled to get married on Wednesday.
While his family and guests were preparing for the wedding procession, Jasim went to the bathroom to take a bath.
When Jasim did not come out of the bathroom for a long time or respond to repeated knocking, the family members became worried.
Finally, they broke the bathroom door and found the groom unconscious.
The family immediately rushed him to the local government hospital where doctors declared him dead.
His father said that his son died of suffocation due to gas leakage from the water heater installed in the bathroom.
