Pakistani actor Danish Taimoor has sparked widespread discussion on social media after sharing his honest assessment of the ongoing FIFA World Cup, surprising fans with his realistic expectations for his favorite team, Portugal.

Posting a photo on Instagram in Portugal’s famous No. 7 jersey, the actor reflected on the tournament’s opening round and highlighted the teams he believes have shown championship-level performances. According to Taimoor, France, England, Brazil, Spain, and Morocco have emerged as the strongest contenders because of their tactical discipline, teamwork, defensive organization, and ability to control matches.

The actor praised these sides for their intelligent pressing, quick transitions, strong midfield displays, and consistent performances, saying their overall quality has separated them from the rest of the competition. He believes that if they maintain the same intensity throughout the tournament, one of them is likely to lift the World Cup trophy.

Despite openly supporting Portugal, Taimoor admitted that the team has yet to perform like genuine champions. He said his heart wants Portugal to succeed, but based on what has been seen so far, the side would need something extraordinary perhaps even a miracle to win the tournament.

Taimoor also encouraged football lovers to appreciate every match, noting that this World Cup could mark the final appearance for legendary stars including Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Neymar, Luka Modrić, Manuel Neuer, Mohamed Salah, Kevin De Bruyne, Virgil van Dijk, Son Heung-min, Casemiro, and Sadio Mané.

His post quickly attracted thousands of reactions, with football fans debating his predictions while passionately backing their own national teams.
