Mahira Khan faces harassment at Love Guru meet-and-greet in London?

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani superstar Mahira Khan was allegedly harassed during a promotional event for her upcoming film Love Guru in Ilford, London, sparking outrage among fans.

A video that has now gone viral shows Mahira, along with her co-star Humayun Saeed, being mobbed by a mob as they visit an Indo-Pak supermarket in Ilford.

At least three men can be seen aggressively approaching the actress, while security staff appeared overwhelmed and unable to handle the chaos.

Eyewitnesses say the incident took place when Mahira tried to go onto the terrace to wave to fans, which was part of a pre-scheduled promotional activity.

Sources claim that one of the security guards assigned to her was allegedly involved in the harassment, which further escalated the situation.

A source told local media, “The moment she entered the store, a guard turned on her.” They added that Mahira was visibly shaken and reluctant to continue with the event. Amid the ongoing tensions between India and Pakistan, tensions were reportedly heightened by the display of Indian flags at the venue.

Despite her discomfort, the event went ahead as planned. Insiders say that the actors had already been paid for their appearance, with Mahira reportedly promised £5,000. However, the same sources claim that this commitment was not honoured, adding to the star’s frustration.

“She immediately started protesting with the organisers over the security lapses and the broken financial agreement,” a source said.

Mahira Khan has not yet issued an official statement regarding the incident.

However, fans on social media have condemned the mismanagement and demanded accountability from the event organisers.
