RAWALPINDI: Nine Indian-sponsored militants have been killed in three encounters in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Security forces conducted an intelligence-based operation in Dera Ismail Khan district following information about the presence of Indian-sponsored militants.
During the operation, troops effectively engaged the militants and killed four of them after a fierce exchange of fire.
Another intelligence-based operation was conducted in Tank district. In the ensuing exchange of fire, two more Indian-sponsored militants were killed by security forces.
In the third encounter in Bagh general area of Khyber district, troops neutralized three more Indian-sponsored terrorists.
Arms and ammunition were also recovered from the slain Indian-sponsored militants, who were active in several terrorist activities in these areas.
