ABU DHABI: Afghanistan has won the toss and chosen to bat first against Sri Lanka in the Asia Cup 2025 at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Stadium on Thursday.
Both teams have come face-to-face eight times in T20Is, with Srilanka holding an edge in head-to-head record with five victories, while the Afghanistan team emerged victorious three times.
The last match between the two sides came during a three-match T20I series in Sri Lanka last year in February, which the home side won 2-1.
