Islamabad United Defeats Karachi Kings by 5 Wickets in PSL 9 Clash

Rawalpindi: In a crucial match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 9, Islamabad United defeated Karachi Kings by 5 wickets.

Played at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Karachi Kings set a target of 151 runs, but Islamabad United’s team managed to achieve it in the 19th over with 5 wickets in hand.

Islamabad United won the toss and invited Karachi Kings to bat first.

Batting first, Karachi Kings scored 150 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in the allotted 20 overs.

Kieron Pollard played a notable inning of 39 runs, James Vince contributed 29, Tom Siefert scored 26, Irfan Khan made 16 runs, while captain Shaan Masood scored 10 runs.

Hassan Ali took 6 wickets and Mir Hamza took 2 wickets for Islamabad United, while Timil Mills took 3 wickets, Faheem Ashraf took 2, and Imad Wasim and Haneen Shah dismissed one player each.

In the previous encounter, Islamabad United had defeated Karachi Kings by 7 wickets.

Islamabad United’s victory in today’s match has further boosted their position in the PSL 9 standings.
