Pak vs SA: Muthusamy’s steady knock puts South Africa ahead

RAWALPINDI: After the early wickets fell in the Pindi Test, all-rounder Muthusamy batted carefully and gave South Africa the lead.

According to the details, South Africa started the game at 185 for 4 when Asif Afridi caught Kyler Mohammad Rizwan on the fourth ball. Tristan Stubbs scored 76, and Simon Harmer scored 2 runs.

Debutant Asif Afridi had established Pakistan’s position by taking five wickets, but Muthusamy Senor played his best game to end Pakistan’s grip on the match.

Muthusamy maintained a partnership of 71 runs for Keshav Maharaj (30) for a promising nine-wicket haul and 98 runs for Rabada’s magnificent ten-wicket haul.

Kagiso Rabada scored 71 runs to be out to Asif Afridi, while Muthusamy stood not out for 89 runs.

In reply to Pakistan’s 333 runs, the Proteas were all out for 404 in their first innings. South Africa took a 71-run lead over Pakistan.

For Pakistan, Asif Afridi took 6 wickets, Noman Ali took 2 wickets, while Shaheen Afridi and Sajid Khan took one wicket each.

Asif Afridi became the second left-arm spinner to take five wickets on debut for Pakistan.
