New ICC rankings out as Kohli regains top spot

DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest player rankings for Test, ODI, and T20 formats.

Virat Kohli has gained the top spot after five long years, while Pakistani star Babar Azam remains at sixth place.

In the T20 batsmen’s rankings, Pakistan’s Sahibzada Farhan has risen one place to fifth, while national team captain Salman Ali Agha has gained 13 places to reach 41st position.

In the T20 bowlers’ list, Salman Mirza has risen 16 places to 19th, while Abrar Ahmed has dropped one place to fifth.

In the T20 all-rounders’ rankings, Saim Ayub has moved from first to second, while Mohammad Nawaz has maintained his fifth position.

Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan remains at the top of the ODI bowlers’ rankings, while Pakistan’s Abrar Ahmed remains in ninth place.

England’s Joe Root remains at the top of the Test batsmen’s rankings.
