Second marriage of Junaid Safdar confirmed as bride, dates surface

LAHORE: The second marriage of Junaid Safdar, son of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, has been confirmed.

While the names of the bride and the dates of the wedding ceremonies have also been revealed.

Senior PML-N leader and former member of the National Assembly, Sheikh Rohail Asghar, has confirmed that Junaid Safdar’s marriage has been fixed with his granddaughter, Shanze Sheikh.

According to him, the wedding ceremonies will be held on January 16, 17, and 18.

He said that one day, Maryam Nawaz sent a message that he wanted to come with a relationship, after which meetings were held between the two families, and the relationship was fixed.

He further said that Maryam Nawaz had brought her eldest daughter and son-in-law, Raheel Munir, with her, while later Mian Nawaz Sharif formally invited the family for a meal.

All matters related to the marriage were decided by both families in mutual consultation.

According to media reports, the wedding ceremonies will be limited in nature, in which only close relatives and family members will be invited.

The joint ceremony of Mehndi will be performed in Jati Umrah, while the Walima will also be held there.

Earlier, he was married to the daughter of renowned businessman Saif-ur-Rehman; however, the two divorced in October 2023.
