DUBAI: The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest rankings of T20 players, in which no Pakistani cricketer could make it to the top 10 in the batting or bowling categories.
In the T20 batting rankings, Australia‘s Travis Head is at the top, India’s Abhishek Sharma is at the second place. India’s Tilak Verma is at the third place, while England’s Phil Salt is at the fourth place. Jos Buttler has moved to the fifth place, pushing Suryakumar Yadav to the sixth place.
Sri Lanka’s Patham Nissanka is at the seventh place, New Zealand’s Tim Seifert is at the eighth place, Sri Lanka’s Kosala Perera is at the ninth place, and South Africa’s Reza Hendricks is in the top 10.
Among Pakistani batsmen, Mohammad Haris remained at the 30th place, while Hassan Nawaz and Saim Ayub moved to the 47th and 62nd places respectively. Captain Agha Salman has dropped two places to the 77th place. Former captains Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan remain at 12th and 13th positions.
No Pakistanis are in the top 10 in the bowling rankings. New Zealand’s Jacob Duffy maintained his lead, England’s Adil Rashid jumped two places to second. India’s Varun Chakraborty was at third.
Sri Lanka’s Winindu Hasaranga is fourth while West Indies’ Akhil Hossain dropped three places to fifth. Australia’s Adam Zampa (sixth), India’s Ravi Bishnoi (7th), Sri Lanka’s Mahesh Thekshana (8th), Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan (9th) and India’s Arsdeep Singh (10th) complete the top rankings.
For Pakistan, Haris Rauf, Abbas Afridi and Shaheen Shah Afridi moved up one place each to 19th, 20th and 35th positions respectively.
