Pakistan names final squad for FIFA WC Qualifier against Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) named a final 24-man squad for the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 Qualifier Round 2 matches against Saudi Arabia at Jinnah Stadium, Islamabad.

Pakistan has finalized the preparations ahead of the much-anticipated clash on June 6 with Diaspora (D) players already joined the team and renovation of the venue.

Pakistan will face Saudi Arabia here in Islamabad on June 6 followed by an away fixture against Tajikistan on June 11 in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.

“All the arrangements for the match have been finalized. Reading of the lights, which is called lux, is available for the record. The lighting system [at the stadium] is best,” an official of the Pakistan Sports Board told a local publication.

Goalkeepers: Yousuf Butt, Saqib Hanif and Hassan Ali

Defenders: Abdullah Iqbal (D), Mohammad Fazal, Haseeb Khan, Rao Omer Hayat, Mamoon Musa, Mohammad Saddam, Waqar Baloch, and Abdul Rehman.

Midfielders: Rahis Nabi, Alamgir Ghazi, Ali Uzair, Umari Ali, Toqeer Ul Hassan, Moin Ahmed, and Ali Zafar.

Forwards: Otis Khan, Shayak Dost, Fareed Ullah, Adeel Younas, Imran Kiyani, and Mckael Abdullah
