LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a tri-nation T20 series with Afghanistan and Sri Lanka in November.
This will be the first time that Pakistan will host such a tri-series.
According to the PCB, the series will start on November 17 when the Pakistan and Afghanistan teams will face each other at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
The final of the tournament will be played in Lahore on November 29.
The announcement said that during the tri-nation event, each team will play four matches, after which the teams with the highest points will reach the final.
PCB officials say that this series will not only provide an opportunity for the players to prepare for big competitions but will also play an important role in the promotion of international cricket in Pakistan.
Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the dates and venues of South Africa’s tour of Pakistan.
According to the details, Pakistan will host South Africa in a two-match series as part of the ICC World Test Championship from October 12.
The Test matches will be played in Lahore and Rawalpindi, respectively. The first Test will be played from October 12 to 16, and the second Test from October 20 to 24.
The first match of the series, consisting of three T20 International matches, will be played in Rawalpindi on October 28, while the remaining two matches will be played in Lahore on October 31 and November 1.
Later, a series consisting of three ODI matches will be played in Faisalabad. The matches will be played on November 4, 6, and 8. Faisalabad will host a One-Day International match after 17 years.
