PCB issues show cause notice over controversial tweet

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has issued a show cause notice to fast bowler Naseem Shah for violating the central contract.

According to the PCB, Rawalpindi player Naseem Shah was issued a show cause notice for violating the central contract, media policy and regulations and the show cause notice was issued under the PCB’s disciplinary framework.

Naseem Shah has been directed to submit his response within the stipulated time and any further action will be decided only after the response is received and reviewed.

According to the PCB, professional standards, adherence to contracts and the reputation of the game will be maintained at all costs.

It should be noted that yesterday, Naseem Shah had criticized Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for her visit to Gaddafi Stadium in a social media post.

Later, Naseem Shah deleted the social media post and said that his account had been hacked, which has been recovered.
