PSL X: Qalandar and Gladiator’s match abandoned due to rain

LAHORE: The Match between Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators was called off due to excessive rain in the city without completion of one inning in PSL X on Thursday.

Both teams were awarded one point each after Lahore had faced 11.3 overs; the referee called off the match.

Lahore Qalandars and Quetta Gladiators are standing in second and third place in the points table with nine points each. Lahore will face Karachi Kings and Peshawar Zalmi, while Quetta are set to play Multan Sultans and Islamabad United twice before the end of the league stage.

Earlier, Quetta won the toss and opted to field first. Khurram Shahzad got Fakhar Zaman on the third ball of the opening over. However, Abdullah Shafique and Mohammad Naeem put on a brilliant 102-run partnership.

Abrar Ahmed took two wickets, removing Abdullah and Daryl Mitchell. The rain started pouring when Qalandars were 111-3 in 11.3 overs.
