KARACHI: In the 12th match of Pakistan Super League (PSL) 10, Multan Sultans defeated Lahore Qalandars by 33 runs.
In the match played at Multan Cricket Stadium, Lahore Qalandars failed to achieve the mountain-like target of 229 runs set by Multan Sultans and could only score 195 runs for the loss of 9 wickets in the stipulated overs.
This is Multan Sultans’ first win in the tournament, while Multan team is at the last position in the points table after 4 matches.
In pursuit of the target, Sikandar Raza 50, Sam Billings 43 and Fakhar Zaman 32 were prominent for Lahore.
For Sultans, Obaid Shah took three wickets while Usama Mir and Bracewell took two wickets each.
At the start of the match, Multan Sultans won the toss and decided to bat against Lahore Qalandars.
For Multan Sultans, Yasir Khan played a brilliant innings of 87 runs, apart from him, Iftikhar Ahmed scored 40 runs and Usman Khan scored 39 runs.
Lahore’s Rashad Hussain took two wickets, Sikandar Raza, Shaheen and Asif Afridi took one wicket each.
In a conversation after the toss, Multan Sultans captain Muhammad Rizwan said that the pitch is good, so they decided to bat, they will try to score well.
