DUBAI: In the seventh match of the Asia Cup, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) defeated Oman by 42 runs.
In the match played in Abu Dhabi, Oman’s team was bowled out for 130 runs in 18.4 overs while chasing a target of 173 runs.
Aryan Bisht was the top scorer for Oman with 24 runs. Captain Jitendra Singh was dismissed for 20, Vinay Shukla for 20, Jitan Ramanandi for 13 runs.
Shah Faisal scored 9 runs, Samee Shrivastava 6, Hammad Mirza 5, Aamir Kaleem 2, Wasim Ali 1, and Hasnain Shah 0.
Shakeel Ahmed returned to the pavilion not out for 14 runs.
Junaid Siddiqui took 4 wickets for the UAE. Haider Ali and Mohammad Jawadullah took 2 wickets each, while Mohammad Rohid took 1 wicket.
Earlier, the UAE, batting first at the invitation of Oman, scored 172 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Captain Mohammad Wasim was outstanding for the team by scoring 69 runs. Ali Shan Sharfoo was dismissed for 51, Mohammad Zohaib 21, Asif Khan 2, and Rahul Chopra 0.
Harsht Kaushik 19 and Dhruv Prashar 1 returned to the pavilion not out.
For Oman, Jitan Ramanandi took 2 wickets while Hasnain Shah and Samee Srivastava took 1 wicket each.
Sri Lanka defeated Hong Kong by 4 wickets in the eighth match of the Asia Cup 2025.
In the match played at the Dubai Cricket Stadium, Sri Lanka achieved the target of 150 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the 19th over.
Patham Nissanka was outstanding for Sri Lanka by scoring 68 runs. Kusal Perera 20, Kamil Mishara 19, Kaushal Mendis 11, Kamindu Mendis 5, and captain Charith Asalanka 2 were out.
Winindu Hasaranga 20 and Dasan Shanaka were not out with 6 runs.
For Hong Kong, Yasmin Mortaza took 2 wickets. Ehsan Khan, Aizaz Khan, and Ayush Shukla took 1 wicket each.
Earlier, batting first at the invitation of Sri Lanka, Hong Kong scored 149 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs.
Nazakat Khan stood out for Hong Kong by scoring 52 runs not out. Anshe Rath 48, Zeeshan Ali 23, Captain Yasmin Mortaza 5, and Babar Hayat were out for 4 runs.
Aizaz Khan returned to the pavilion not out with an individual score of 4.
