Under-19 Asia Cup: Pakistan and India likely to clash once again

DUBAI: Another exciting Pakistan-India clash has emerged for cricket fans as both teams have qualified for the semi-finals of the U-19 Asia Cup.

India will face Sri Lanka in the first semi-final, while Pakistan will face Bangladesh in the second semi-final.

India is led by Ayush Mhatre, and the team showed a brilliant performance in Group A, where they defeated the UAE, Pakistan, and Malaysia.

On the other hand, Bangladesh defeated Sri Lanka by 39 runs in Group B and secured their place in the semi-finals.

In this match, openers Zawad Abrar and Rifat Baig put on an 84-run partnership for the first wicket, while captain Azizul Haq and Kalam Siddiqui added 53 runs for the third wicket.

Later, Bangladesh’s last 7 wickets fell for 62 runs, and the team was bowled out for 225 runs in 46.3 overs. Off-spinner Kawija Gammage bowled well for Sri Lanka, taking 4 wickets.

In reply, Sri Lanka lost 3 wickets for 38 runs in 14 overs. Chamika Heyana Tegala scored 41 runs, but Bangladesh kept up the pressure and bowled them out for 186 runs.

In Group B, Afghanistan defeated Nepal easily, but this did not affect their qualification for the semi-finals.
