Pakistan into semi-finals after downing China in Asian Hockey Champions Trophy

HULUNBUIR: Pakistan slides into the semi-finals of the Asian Hockey Champions Trophy 2024 after claiming a resounding 5-1 victory over China at the Moqi Hockey Training Base in China on Thursday.

Green Shirts opened their account with an early goal by Abdul Rehman. Later, Ahmed  Nadeem and Hannan Shahid drove Pakistan to a comfortable win with each scoring two goals.

Before this, Pakistan defeated Japan 2-1 on Wednesday to keep its semi-final hope alive after two early drawn games.

Ammad Butt-led Pakistan will face arch-rivals, India on Saturday at the same venue to maintain their confidence above before playing the knock-out stage.

The Indian team have remained unbeaten throughout the tournament, making this upcoming clash all the more thrilling.
