LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has approved an increase in the match fees of national cricket team players.
The PCB Board of Governors meeting chaired by PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi unanimously approved the surplus budget for the financial year 2027-2026.
The meeting also approved the budget for the 12th edition of the PSL, while it was decided to make the league administratively and financially autonomous. It was also decided to increase the budget of domestic cricket in the country from Rs 3 billion to Rs 4 billion.
The PCB Chairman also approved the format and payment method of the new central contract and the increase in match fees for national cricket team players in the meeting.
The PCB Board of Governors also approved increasing the match fees of Quaid-e-Azam Trophy players from Rs 30,000 to Rs 100,000, while the match fees of reserve players from Rs 15,000 to Rs 50,000.
In addition, it approved the organization of Women’s One-Day and T20 tournaments and the allocation of funds in this regard, while it was decided to increase the minimum salary of regional ground staff to Rs. 42,000.
During the meeting, Rs. 6.7 billion was approved for the operationalization of 12 new grounds and the improvement of various cricket facilities including the National Stadium, while funds were also approved for the installation of modern biomechanics machines in the High Performance Center Lahore.
