KARACHI: Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed a sharp increase on Tuesday, following a strong rally in the international market, according to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
The price of 24-karat gold per tola surged by Rs4,700 to reach Rs429,236, while the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs4,029, settling at Rs368,000.
In the global market, gold prices climbed $47 to $4,068 per ounce (including a $20 premium). Meanwhile, silver prices also moved higher, with the price of one tola of silver rising by Rs219 to Rs6,396.
