Sheikh Hasina has announced that she will return to her homeland this year

DHAKA: The ousted and fugitive Prime Minister of Bangladesh, Sheikh Hasina Wajid, has announced that she will return to her homeland this year.

Sheikh Hasina, who resigned after intense protests and restrictions by the student movement against her government, fled the country in August 2024 and reached India and is still a refugee there.

Now, more or less two years later, Sheikh Hasina Wajid has announced that she will return to Bangladesh.

Sheikh Hasina Wajid has announced in an interview during her self-imposed exile that she will return to her homeland this year, overcoming every obstacle.
