LAHORE: In a significant move, the Punjab Excise Taxation and Narcotics Control Department has introduced a pioneering e-registration card service, empowering vehicle owners to access a digital replica of their registration cards.
This innovative solution addresses the common conundrum of motorists being stopped by traffic and police officials, only to realize they’ve forgotten their physical registration card, resulting in fines and inconvenience.
By introducing this user-friendly service, the department enables citizens to download a soft copy of their registration card onto their mobile devices, eliminating the need for physical documentation.
1. Visit the Official Website: Go to (https://excise.punjab.gov.pk/) to access the excise department’s website.
2. Click on “E-Registration Card: Select the “E-Registration Card” option from the menu bar.
3. Enter Vehicle Details: Enter your vehicle’s registration number and chassis number on the new page (https://vrcentpunjab.com/card).
4. Verify and Download: Complete the verification process and click the search button to access your e-registration card.
5. Save for Future Use: Save the soft copy of your registration card on your mobile phone for convenient future reference.
This digital initiative not only streamlines the verification process but also saves time and reduces the risk of fines. Vehicle owners can effortlessly access their e-registration card through the official excise department website, marking a significant step towards digital governance and citizen-centric services in Punjab.
