ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted thunderstorms across the country from June 20 to 23. Monsoon winds have entered the upper reaches of the country, as a result of which a new series of rains is likely to begin.

According to the Meteorological Department, thunderstorms are expected in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Peshawar, Swat, Abbottabad and adjacent areas, which will lead to a drop in temperature and make the weather pleasant.

Meanwhile, the possibility of rain has also been shown in Karachi, Hyderabad, Badin, Tharparkar and Khuzdar. Light and moderate rainfall may occur in these areas.

Moreover, heavy rain with gusty winds has been predicted in Sukkur, Larkana, Dadu and Jacobabad from June 22 to 24, due to which there is also a possibility of partial accumulation of water in low-lying areas.
