New spell of rain, thunderstorms to enter Pakistan from today: PMD

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has predicted that various regions of the country will experience heavy rain, hailstorms, and strong winds today (Tuesday) through May 31.
According to the Met Office prediction, widespread showers will occur in Islamabad, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Azad Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
These showers will be accompanied by gusty winds and thunderstorms. Citizens have been advised to take precautionary measures for safety during dust storms and strong winds.
In Sindh, upper and southeastern districts are also likely to experience rain with thunder and lightning. Sukkur, Larkana, Jacobabad, Shahdadkot, Thar, Mithi, and Islamkot may see heavy downpours.
Additional areas that will experience rainfall during the forecast period are Dadu, Johi, Sehwan, Nawabshah, Qazi Ahmed, Hala, Matiari, Hyderabad, and Jamshoro.
The PMD is still watching weather patterns and has advised local administrations to stay vigilant.

Islamabad –24 degrees centigrade, Lahore – 29, Karachi 30, Peshawar – 27, Quetta – 26, Gilgit 16, Murree 15, and Muzaffarabad 20 degrees centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir is partly cloudy weather with spelling rain and wind thunderstorms in Srinagar, Jammu, Leh, Poonch, Anantang, Shopian, and Baramula.
