5.7 magnitude earthquake rocks Southern Alaska

ALASKA: The US state of Alaska was shaken by an earthquake. According to news agencies, the magnitude of the earthquake was recorded as 5.7 on the Richter scale, while the depth of the earthquake is said to be 10 kilometers.

According to the US Geological Survey, the epicenter of the earthquake was near the southern coastal area of ​​Alaska, where citizens felt severe tremors, people came out of their homes and buildings due to fear.

According to local authorities, no reports of any loss of life or property have been received so far, however, aftershocks are being feared after the earthquake.

Rescue and emergency teams have been alerted, while authorities have instructed citizens not to head towards coastal areas unnecessarily and to contact local administration immediately in case of any possible emergency.
