HYDERABAD: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy narrowly escaped a possible air crash due to bad weather.
According to details, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy was returning to Hyderabad from Delhi on Saturday evening by IndiGo flight. The flight was proceeding as usual, but the weather suddenly worsened as soon as it entered the airspace of Shamshabad. The landing was declared unsafe due to heavy rain, strong winds and bad weather conditions in the area.
According to sources, the pilots, after assessing the situation, abandoned the attempt to land at Hyderabad airport and after consulting the air authorities, the plane was diverted towards Bengaluru. The sudden change of route created concern among some passengers on the flight, but the crew handled the situation professionally.
According to reports, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will stay in Bengaluru for the night and leave for Hyderabad after the weather improves. He was accompanied by MP Vem Narendra Reddy and former DCC President Rohan Reddy.
On the other hand, normal life was disrupted in Hyderabad and its surrounding areas due to heavy rain and strong winds. Several low-lying areas were submerged while traffic flow was also severely affected. Meteorologists have warned that the bad weather may continue for some more time.
