Indian influencer attempts sucide while live streaming on Instagram

NEW DEHLI: In a bizarre incident, a 19-year-old social media influencer Ankur Nath from Nawagarh in India’ Chhattisgarh, has been found dead in alleged suicide attempt while live-streaming on Instagram.

The incident occurred on Thursday in the Janjgir Champa district, when Ankur Nath was talking to her followers on Instagram, the incident was witnessed by at least 21 followers who were utterly helpless to intervene.

According to reports, Nath had been in emotional turmoil after a heartbreak that led her to take the extreme step. Her parents, who stay in Hyderabad, are shocked and cannot give further details.

When live streaming, some followers attempted to contact Nath while a few locals ran to her residence in Nawagarh, about 150 kilometers from Raipur.

However, when they reached the housethey found it locked. Neighbors broke the door, but it was too late. Nath had already lost the battle of life and doctors had declared Nath dead at a nearby health center.

Police are now investigating her phone to understand the circumstances behind the tragic event. Nath had been an active social media user, regularly posting videos that garnered significant attention.
