WASHINGTON, DC: The Trump administration has escalated its incentive payment to those willing to depart from the borders of the United States voluntarily.

The Department of Homeland Security announced that the payment has been escalated to $3000, which is triple the previous payment.

The offer targets those residing in the US illegally who are willing to commit to enrolling in self-deportation via the CBP Home app by the end of the year.

In addition to the monetary incentive, the government will offer the illegal migrants a free plane ticket to their homeland, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

In the first part of this year, the government launched a new mobile app, named CBP Home, intending to facilitate the voluntary departure process.

Authorities have described this initiative as simultaneously an opportunity and a warning for migrants. DHS Secretary Kristi Noem invited migrants to take advantage of this offer while they still could.

“People who do notvoluntarily leave the country face arrest and deportation,” she added. In relation to individuals who are deported as a result of enforcement actions, Noem said they “will never be permitted to return to the United States of America.”
