FBR rules out amnesty for smuggled vehicles

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has denied rumours that an amnesty scheme is being considered to regularize smuggled vehicles, here on Tuesday.

A statement posted on FBR’s official handle on X said, “The FBR categorically denies rumours circulating on social media regarding an expected amnesty scheme to regularize smuggled vehicles. is.”

The statement added that no such scheme is currently under consideration by the federal government.

FBR also advised the public not to believe any such false information circulating on social media or any other unverified sources.
