ISLAMABAD: The e-balloting for the distribution of subsidized electric two- and three-wheelers under Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) Scheme has been successfully conducted by the Ministry of Industries & Production.
Under this scheme, 40,000 electric two-wheelers and 1,000 electric three-wheelers were given to the residents.
Engineering Development Board (EDB) assisted the Ministry in conducting the balloting for the scheme.
The Ministry received over 269,000 applications, out of which 40,000 were selected in the e-balloting.
The PAVE Online Portal provided security for online voting. The vigilant inspection of the selected Balloting Oversight Committee is to ensure transparency, fairness, and equal opportunity for all applicants.
The ministry also stated that the applicants shall be notified via the online portal with their Application ID or CNIC.
Disbursement of subsidy, payment facilitation, and vehicle delivery will be made via authorized procedures, with the OEMs being responsible for delivery, after-sales, and warranty fulfillment.
A subsidy of Rs 50,000 on two-wheelers will be provided under bank leasing, and PKR 80,000 for self-financed transactions.
For three-wheelers, the subsidy of PKR 200,000 (bank leasing) and PKR 400,000 (self-finance) will be provided.
Under the Prime Minister’s Pakistan Accelerated Vehicle Electrification (PAVE) scheme, citizens can now buy electric scooters on convenient monthly instalments at zero percent mark-up, making green mobility cheaper than ever.
The programme now features sought-after Yadea electric scooter models M3H, T5L, and VELAX, and the government is providing a ₨50,000 subsidy per unit.
Customers may pay in 24 simple instalments over two years with no charges for interest. Every scooter is also covered by a 4-year or 50,000 km warranty to ensure years of trouble-free running and peace of mind.
The PAVE programme is aimed at encouraging green transport, local industry support, and reducing city pollution.
Prospective applicants can join online at https://pave.gov.pk/register by entering their personal information, CNIC, and address details.
The government is hoping that this program will speed up the usage of electric scooters and enable Pakistan to move towards a greener, cleaner tomorrow.
