LAHORE: The government has also made available the list of successful applicants for the Punjab Bikes Plan 2024, which included an electronic balloting event last week.

Until the deadline of May 1, 2024, the government has received 72,640 applications from eligible students in Faisalabad, Multan, Bahawalpur, Rawalpindi, and Lahore, including 57,370 applications for petrol motorcycles and 15,270 applications for electric bikes.

19,000 petrol motorbikes and 1,000 electric bikes will be given away under the program to students who will be chosen by poll. There is a specific quota in the program for female students.

11,676 of the 19,000 petrol bikes belong to male students, and 7,324 are to female students. 300 electric bikes are designated for female students and 700 for male students out of a total of 1,000 electric bikes.

Post-Balloting Process

The BOP will conduct a financial review of the Guarantor/Co-Borrower following the e-balloting competition.

“BOP has the right to request more documentation during this post-balloting examination. Only those students whose post-balloting scrutiny by BOP proves to be satisfactory will ultimately be certified successful and receive Bikes. For this purpose, the applicant students must submit the necessary documentation with their online application, according to the official release.

How shall the Bike be delivered to the successful applicant student?

The vendor or their dealership will either book the bike or, if it is available, notify the BOP of its chassis number and engine number for insurance after receiving payment. Following the information receipt, the BOP will set up insurance, issue a delivery order in the dealership’s name, and give the delivery order to the student so that the bike can be delivered.

Punjab Bikes Scheme 2024 Delivery Date

The day that the bikes would be delivered to the qualified students has not yet been formally announced by the Punjab government. It is anticipated that, once the Bank of Punjab has finished all procedures, the distribution process will begin before the fiscal year 2024–2025 budget.
