Electric Bike Scheme
LAHORE: The Punjab government has officially launched the Electric Bike Scheme aimed at empowering youth and promoting eco-friendly transportation. Under this initiative, an online portal has been opened to facilitate citizens, especially students and low-income individuals, in accessing affordable and convenient travel options.
According to official sources, the entire application process has been made digital to ensure transparency and equal opportunity. Applicants are required to visit the official portal (https://ptfpunjabgov.com) and provide accurate personal, educational, and required details to complete their application smoothly.
Officials highlighted that electric bikes will help citizens cope with increasing fuel prices and inflation. The initiative is expected to significantly reduce daily commuting costs while also contributing to a cleaner environment by lowering carbon emissions.
The government has confirmed that the selection process will be strictly merit-based and transparent. Priority will be given to college and university students to support their educational activities. Additionally, a dedicated quota has been reserved for female applicants to ensure inclusivity and equal access.
Authorities have urged citizens to submit their applications within the given timeframe and avoid dealing with unauthorized agents or sources. Complete details regarding eligibility criteria, application procedures, and updates are available on the official portal.
