RAWALPINDI: Prize bonds are one of the safest investment schemes in Pakistan. The biggest advantage of these bonds is that the principal loss can be reduced.

Cash prizes are awarded to the first, second, and third-place winners in result draws that take place every three months.

It is a fact that the chances of winning prize bonds are very low, but the prize is so high that people are willing to take the chance. Another major reason for the great interest of people is the regulation of prize bonds by the National Savings, which comes under the central bank.

National Savings Bank regularly announces the prize bond draw, usually held every three months. The 1500 prize bond draw was held today, May 15, 2025, at the National Savings Centre in Karachi.

The 1500 prize bond winners’ list will be unveiled soon after the balloting process is complete . Balls will be broadcast online such that the draw is transparent and exciting.

The winning numbers will be read, announced, and displayed publicly. National Savings, under the State Bank of Pakistan, administers these prize bonds and distributes them as an investment to the public, who are essentially paying for a chance to win instead of gaining fixed interest on cash deposits.

This draw has a first prize of Rs1,500,000; a second prize of Rs500,000; plus many third prizes, each valued at Rs9,300, making it an event each holder of the prize bond cannot afford to miss.

The winners of the Rs1,500 prize bond announcement are coming in the day; the National Savings Centre will publish the full list soon. Please stay tuned as we watch fortunes made at this event and during this draw.

Tax on 1500 Prize Bond Money

To collect prize bond money, the winners submit their claim form at the respective counter of any office of SBP Banking Services Corporation.

The SBP hands over prize money up to Rs20,000 on the counter (subject to clearance of bond), the same day, while the prize money over Rs20,000 is given through payment order on/after the dates given to claimants for collecting the prize money.

As per details, the State Bank of Pakistan deducts a 15 per cent income tax on the amount of prize money for the filer, while the non-filers are required to pay a 30 per cent tax on the amount.
