184 Pakistan flights canceled as Middle East airspace remains closed

ISLAMABAD: Due to the continuous closure of the airspace of 10 countries, 184 flights from Pakistan to the Middle East have been canceled, which is causing concern to passengers.

The airspace of Iran, Iraq, Israel, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and Syria has been completely closed, in addition to the airspace of the Emirates, Lebanon, and Jordan, which has also been continuously closed for flights since yesterday.

42 flights from Karachi to Dubai, Sharjah, Doha, Najaf, Istanbul, Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Bahrain, and Tehran have been canceled, 40 flights from Lahore to Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Tehran, Dubai, Doha, Muscat, Ras Al Khaimah, Sharjah, Bahrain have been canceled, 36 flights from Islamabad to Dubai, Doha, Dammam, Muscat, Await, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, Bahrain, Sharjah have been canceled.

All 18 foreign flights from Peshawar to Doha, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Jeddah are canceled, 22 flights from Multan to Doha, Muscat, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Dubai, Jeddah are canceled, all 12 foreign flights from Faisalabad to Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi are canceled.

In addition, 12 flights from Sialkot to Abu Dhabi, Jeddah, Dubai, Sharjah, Dammam, Muscat are canceled, both foreign flights from Quetta to Dubai today are canceled, all airports in the Emirates, including Dubai and Abu Dhabi, are still closed today.

The PAA spokesperson says that Pakistani airspace is completely open and safe for flights.

In addition, Saudi Arabian airspace is open and flight operations at airports are also normal, Turkey’s flight operations have resumed, Turkish Air flights are taking long-distance routes.
