Benazir Kafalat Program simplifies eligibility, payment checks for families
ISLAMABAD: The Benazir Income Support Program (BISP) scheme is intended to bring deserving families under the government’s social safety net. By this registration, the deserving citizens shall be eligible to apply for Benazir Kafalat and other financial assistance schemes.
Benazir Kafaalat is the flagship program of BISP, and it was started in the year 2008. In the scheme, Rs 13,500 is given to deserving families each quarter.
For this, you have to register yourself with the BISP dynamic survey.
As per BISP, only those families who go to the nearest BISP registration center will be able to take part in the survey. The dynamic survey is meant to collect current socio-economic information so that the deserving families only get financial assistance.
Upon filling out the survey, you will receive a message from 8171.
BISP will inform you through 8171 about your eligibility status.
BISP has instructed citizens to produce their original Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs) and the B-form of their children upon registration. In addition, families are encouraged to provide their mobile numbers at the time of registration so that timely communication is maintained and no delay occurs.
Citizens are reminded that it is free of cost to register, and it is illegal to try and charge fees.
It is advised to have an updated electricity bill and personal mobile number at the time of registration.
Beneficiaries should visit the nearest Benazir Income Support Tehsil Office with their child and the original B-Form (issued by NADRA).
The child’s school should be officially recognized and registered. Once verified, the scholarship will be released regularly, with at least 70% school attendance.
This program not only supports education but also empowers underprivileged families by investing in their children’s future.
