Cement prices see decline nationwide
KARACHI: The retail price of cement in the country recorded a slight increase during the last week.
According to the National Bureau of Statistics, in the week ending November 20, the average retail price of cement per sack in northern cities was recorded at Rs 1,365, which is 0.22 percent higher than the previous week, when the average retail price per sack in the previous week was Rs 1,362.
Similarly, the average retail price of cement per sack in southern cities was Rs 1,440, which is 0.09 percent lower than the previous week, when the average price per sack in the previous week was Rs 1,441.
Last week, the average retail price of cement per sack in Islamabad was Rs 1367, Rawalpindi Rs 1355, Gujranwala Rs 1400, Sialkot Rs 1350, Lahore Rs 1410, Faisalabad Rs 1340, Sargodha Rs 1350, Multan Rs 1389, Bahawalpur Rs 1400, Peshawar Rs 1353 and Bannu Rs 1300.
In addition, the price of cement per sack in Karachi was recorded at Rs 1373, Hyderabad Rs 1427, Sukkur Rs 1500, Larkana Rs 1407, Quetta Rs 1490 and Khuzdar Rs 1443.
