Chicken, eggs and meat become costlier

LAHORE: Lahore has once again witnessed an increase in the prices of chicken, eggs and other meat.

According to market sources, the price of broiler meat has increased by Rs 8 per kg. After this increase, broiler meat has reached Rs 548 per kg. Citizens say that prices are increasing every week, which is affecting the budget.

Similarly, the prices of eggs are also continuing to increase. A few weeks ago, eggs were available for Rs 215 per dozen, now their price has reached Rs 245 per dozen.

On the other hand, the prices of mutton and beef are being sold much higher than the official rates. Citizens say that mutton is being sold in the market for Rs 3200 to 3500 per kg. While despite the official price of beef being fixed at Rs 800 per kg, it has reached Rs 1400 per kg.
