Chicken meat prices decrease by Rs130 per kg in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: In Islamabad, the price of chicken meat decreased by Rs 130 per kg in a single day on Monday.

In the federal capital, the price of chicken meat decreased from Rs 880 to Rs 760, and the price of live chicken decreased from Rs 450 to Rs 375 per kg.

The price of chicken and its meat has increased significantly during the last two weeks.

Prices vary in different cities due to the cost of supply. In Lahore, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken has been fixed at Rs 397 per kg, while the retail rate in the government price list is Rs 411 per kg.

The price of chicken meat has remained stable at Rs 595 per kg and the price of eggs per dozen has remained stable at Rs 329.

According to the government rate list, the price of chicken meat in Lahore has been fixed at Rs 595 per kg, however, the price of broiler meat has reached Rs 700 per kg.

In Multan, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken is Rs 394 while the retail price is Rs 408 per kg. Broiler meat is being sold at Rs 590 and eggs are being sold at Rs 317 per dozen.

In Rawalpindi, the price of live broiler chicken has increased from Rs 285 to Rs 530 per kg and the price of broiler meat has crossed Rs 900 per kg within a week.

In a week, the price of meat has increased by Rs 450 per kg. In Mirpur Khas, the price of boneless broiler chicken has crossed Rs 1,000.
