Chicken meat prices remain unchanged in Lahore, Punjab – Check official rate list

LAHORE: The Lahore district government has today released the official rate list for chicken and egg prices for March 20, 2025.

As per the details, it is important for consumers to stay informed about current prices and market trends to avoid losses.

Chicken meat serves as an important source of protein in many households as its per capita consumption is more than seven kilograms. This increase highlights the growing popularity of chicken meat across the country.

Lahore sees a significant increase in demand for chicken meat during the holy month of Ramadan.

However, market prices often fluctuate due to factors such as demand, supply and seasonal variations. For example, during Ramadan, prices may increase due to increased demand.

To maintain uniformity in prices, the district government issues a rate list on a daily basis. All shopkeepers are required to display this list in a prominent place for consumers.

Chicken Prices in Lahore Today

According to notified rates, the retail price of chicken meat per kilogram remained at Rs 595 on March 20, while the price of a dozen eggs in Lahore was Rs 260.

The price of live chicken has been fixed at Rs 411 per kilogram.
