Chicken prices decrease massively in Lahore & Multan: Check latest rates here

LAHORE: In Lahore and Multan, the price of chicken has decreased significantly after a few days.

In Lahore, the price of chicken meat has decreased by Rs 18 per kg, after which the price of broiler meat has decreased to Rs 577 per kg from Rs 595 yesterday.

The price of live broiler chicken has decreased by Rs 13, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken is now Rs 384 per kg and the retail rate is Rs 398 per kg.

In Lahore, the price of eggs per dozen has increased by Rs 2, which has increased from Rs 229 to Rs 231.

In Multan, the price of live broiler chicken has decreased by Rs 14, the wholesale rate of live broiler chicken is now Rs 372 per kg and the retail rate is Rs 386 per kg.

There has been no change in the price of eggs in Multan as the price per dozen remains at Rs 195.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics, the inflation rate has significantly decreased, which was recorded at 2.4 percent last month in nine years.

It added that the inflation rate has come down from 4.1 percent in December last year. It said that inflation has cooled significantly from 28.34 percent in January 2024.
