LAHORE: Chicken prices in Lahore, Punjab increased massively due to the increasing demand of chicken in the province.
As per the details, consumers in Lahore and other parts of Punjab have seen a sharp rise in prices for essential commodities, including chicken, eggs, and cooking oil, impacting household budgets as the cost of daily necessities soars.
As per the latest official rate list issued on Saturday, the price of chicken meat surged by Rs9, bringing the cost per kilogram to Rs475, up from Rs486.
The price hike has affected both live chicken and dressed meat, with the wholesale price rising by Rs15 to Rs314 per kilogram, while the retail price now stands at Rs328 per kilogram.
