LAHORE: The city administration has announced a significant reduction in the prices of bakery bread, commonly called double roti, in the Punjab capital amid falling wheat prices.

Deputy Commissioner Raifa Haider said that the price of 750 grams of bread has been fixed at Rs 180 because earlier it was sold at Rs 220 to 230 in Lahore.

He said that the price of small size or 400-gram roti has been increased to Rs 90, adding that the new prices will be implemented immediately.
