Islamabad: The federal government is preparing to announce revised petrol and diesel prices for the latter half of March 2024, with expectations of a significant decrease.
According to a private news channel, the government is ready to reduce the price of petrol by Rs5, bringing it down to Rs274.61 per litre, while diesel may see a reduction of Rs4.81, settling at Rs283.12 per litre. These adjustments are anticipated to take effect from March 16, 2024.
The potential decline in petroleum prices follows a downward trend in the international market, where Brent crude futures dropped by 0.4% to $81.82 per barrel, indicating a positive outlook for consumers in Pakistan.
