Federal govt likely to increase petrol prices

ISLAMABAD: The petrol prices are likely to increase again from October 1 in the country.

According to the report, the prices of petroleum products are likely to increase from Rs 1.97 to Rs 4.65 per liter.

The price of petrol is likely to increase by Rs 1.97 per liter and the price of high-speed diesel by Rs 2.48 per liter.

The price of light diesel oil is likely to increase by Rs 1.76 per liter, while the price of kerosene is likely to increase by Rs 4.65 per liter.

OGRA will send the working paper on prices to the Ministry of Finance through the Petroleum Division.

After the approval of the Prime Minister, the Ministry of Finance will make a final announcement on the new prices tomorrow.

It should be noted that 15 days ago, the government had maintained the price of petrol, while the price of high-speed diesel was increased by Rs 2.78 per liter.
