Sameer Khan defeats India’s Singh to win world boxing title

BANGKOK: Pakistani young boxer Sameer Khan has won the Universal Boxing Organization (UBO) Youth World Bantamweight Championship, giving Pakistan its first title.

Sameer Khan knocked out Indian opponent Bunty Singh to win the title.

In the 52 kg category, the Pakistani youngster dominated the Indian player from the very beginning of the game and defeated him with successive attacks.

The Pakistani boxer’s “jet celebration” style shook the confidence of his Indian opponent. The referees declared Sameer Khan the winner by unanimous decision.

After winning the match, Sameer Khan said, ” I sincerely thank all Pakistanis for standing with me, supporting and remembering me in their prayers.”

The young boxer further said that I  dedicate my victory to the Pakistan Army and the martyrs of the Pakistan Army.
