ISLAMABAD: Today (Monday) is the last session of negotiations between the government economic team and the IMF (International Monetary Fund) mission. Negotiations with the provinces and asset declaration by public employees are among the topics on Monday’s agenda, according to sources. But they would also talk about things like wages and pensions, financing for the climate, monetary policy, and the next budget.

The provinces and the IMF mission will discuss fiscal operations, debt, and commodities schemes. They will also discuss revenue initiatives and health and education spending. Among the topics are talks about the foreign exchange market, adjustments to the budget procedure, institutional reforms, real estate, and anti-money laundering measures.

The sources claim that if the negotiations with the IMF delegation are not concluded today, there would be a brief meeting on Tuesday.
