Free units to the officers of the electricity companies have ended, the cabinet has approved, the implementation will be immediate

ISLAMABAD: The Federal Cabinet has approved the scheme of giving money to the officers of electricity companies by cutting off free electricity.

According to sources, the cabinet rejected the proposal to give subsidized electricity tariff to the industrial sector for four months of winter.

This summary was presented for approval in the federal cabinet meeting on Wednesday, which was presided over by Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq.

Grade 17 officers of power generation companies will get RS 24,570 instead of 650 units per month and grade 18 officers will get RS 26,460 per month instead of 700 units.

Instead of 1000 free units per month, a grade 19 officer of GENCO will be given RS 42 thousand 720, a grade 20 officer will be given RS 46 thousand 992 instead of 1100 units per month and a grade 21 officer will be given RS 55 thousand 536 instead of 1300 units per month.

The approval of this scheme was earlier given by the Energy Committee of the Cabinet which has been approved by the Federal Cabinet and the scheme will be implemented immediately.
