Gold prices drop in Pakistan

KARACHI: Gold prices declined sharply in Pakistan today on account of falling international prices, which witnessed yet another reversal in the previous session for the week.

According to the All Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewelers Association (APSGJA), the price of gold per tola in Pakistan declined by Rs1,000 to Rs431,236 today compared to yesterday’s closing of Rs432,236 per tola.

Also, the price of 10 grams of gold lost Rs 730 to Rs 369,715 today compared to Rs 370,445 recorded yesterday.

It is worth noting here that the gold price had plunged Rs10,400 to Rs432,236 per tola on Tuesday, while it was 439,400 for 24 karat per tola today.
In the international market, gold prices decreased by $10 to $4,088 per ounce today. Similar to gold, the price of silver also declined by Rs271 to Rs6,393 per tola today.
