KARACHI: The price of 24-Carat gold in Pakistan rose by Rs6,100 per tola, settling at Rs366,100 in the local markets. The price of 10 grams of gold also jumped Rs5,232 to Rs313,872.
The gold prices jumped to an all-time high in Pakistan after a substantial rise in the international bullion market. As per market sources, the Gold prices in the international market increased by $61 per ounce to $3,377.
The sheer jump in global rates translated into a parallel increase in domestic prices. The price of silver also bounced back. The rate of one tola of silver rose by Rs. 57 to Rs. 3,482, whereas the price for 10 grams increased by Rs. 22 to Rs. 2,985.
Some market analysts attributed the ongoing increase in gold prices to continuing global economic uncertainty and increased demand for safe-haven assets. They warned that volatility may persist in the coming days due to global geopolitical developments and currency fluctuations.
