ISLAMABAD: Gold lost its winning streak on Saturday due to a significant decline in line with the downward trend in the international market.
According to data shared by the All Pakistan Gems and Jewelers Association, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs 10,600 to Rs 446,300.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams fell by Rs 9,088 to Rs 382,630.
The price of the precious metal in the international market closed at $ 4,252 per ounce, down by $ 106.
A day earlier, the price of 24-karat gold per tola increased by Rs 14,100 to Rs 456,900 per tola.
Similarly, the price of gold per 10 grams increased by Rs 12,089 to Rs 391,718 per 10 grams.
On the other hand, analysts have predicted that the price of gold could rise to $5,000 per ounce by 2026, due to increased demand from central banks in countries such as China, Brazil, India, Saudi Arabia, and Dubai.
